New Year, New Skincare Resolutions: How to Achieve Healthy, Glowing Skin in 2025

The new year is a time for fresh starts, and what better way to kick off 2025 than by committing to a skincare routine that helps you look and feel your best? Whether you're hoping to address specific skin concerns, simplify your routine, or focus on self-care, skincare resolutions are a great way to set achievable goals that will benefit your skin all year long.

In this blog post, we’ll walk you through some top skincare resolutions that will help you embrace glowing, radiant skin in 2025.

So first things first, let's break out of any bad habits we may have, whether it's falling asleep with makeup on or using face wipes. Whilst face wipes can be a great quick fix after a night out, they are not something we would recommend using in your daily routine. Face wipes will not remove all makeup, oil and toxins. A clean base is a vital start to any skincare routine.

1- Double Cleanse

Double cleansing ensures that you remove all makeup, oils, impurities and toxins. Invest in a nourishing cleanser with natural ingredients, we recommend our Cleansing Milk For Natural Beauty. If you would invest in an outfit that you might wear once or twice a year, why not invest in your skin that you wear all year round!  This is a very important stage of your skincare routine as you need a clean base for your serums and creams to absorb into.

2 - Consistency is key

Consistency is key when it comes to skincare. Skipping days or using products sporadically can lead to uneven results, leaving your skin looking tired, dull, or irritated. The new year is a perfect time to get into a routine that works for your skin.

Choose a simple, realistic skincare routine that you can follow both morning and night. This could include cleansing, moisturising, and applying and SPF daily. Set reminders or make it part of your daily habit—like brushing your teeth—so you don’t forget to care for your skin. Don’t feel pressured to overcomplicate things. Start with the essentials and build on them over time.

3 - Hydrate

Hydrated skin is healthy skin. Dehydration can lead to dryness, irritation, and dullness, especially in colder months. In 2025, make it a goal to drink more water, and use products that lock in moisture and improve hydration levels. Hydration starts from the inside out, make sure to try and drink 8 glasses a day to keep your skin glowing and radiant!

4- Exfoliate

Exfoliating helps remove dead skin cells, which can make your skin look dull and clogged. Regular exfoliation promotes smoother, brighter skin and allows your skincare products to penetrate better. But you want to make sure you are exfoliating the right amount for your skin type.

Dry Skin - 1-2 times a week

Normal Skin/ Combination - 2 times a week

Oily Skin - 2-3 times a week

If you over exfoliate for your skin type this can break your natural barrier and strip your skin of its natural oils, leading to dryness and irritation.

5 - Prioritise Sleep and Rest

Sleep is one of the most underrated aspects of skincare. During sleep, your skin is hard at work repairing itself. Lack of sleep can lead to dull skin, dark circles, and increased signs of ageing. They call it Beauty Sleep for a reason!

2024 is your year for healthier, more radiant skin. By setting realistic skincare resolutions—whether it's being consistent, hydrating more, simplifying your routine, or focusing on skin health—you can achieve glowing skin that makes you feel confident and radiant.

The key to sticking with your skincare resolutions is to be patient, kind to yourself, and adapt as your skin's needs evolve. Remember, skincare isn’t about perfection; it’s about finding what works best for you and taking care of your skin in a way that makes you feel your best!
